Our grader and KG2 students had a memorable experience visiting the IGES – Japan campus. There they heard about the company’s environmental initiatives.
Making penguin objects of art from driftwood and garbage from the sea is something that they learned.
As the students were able to experience something they would not normally have the chance to do, it was impressive to see the curiosity on their faces.
Later in the day, students were taken to clean the beach. Despite the ocean being clean, there were a lot of micro plastics, and the students were surprised to see the colourful micro plastics.
There was a lot of sadness in their hearts about how these micro practices would affect fishes and other sea creatures. Teachers explained how we can change this and how to protect our oceans.
There is no doubt that students and the future of education will change the world.
